What is prehabilitation?
Prehabilitation is a process in which patients prepare both physically and mentally for surgery. It may include exercise routines, breathing techniques, nutritional guidance, and psychological support. The goal is to enable a faster and safer recovery after the procedure.
Who is the SurgeON app recommended for?
The app has been developed primarily for patients preparing for planned (elective) surgeries — whether orthopedic, abdominal, gynecological, or cardiac procedures. In addition, it offers an integrable solution for healthcare providers and insurers who care about their patients and are committed to long-term patient management.
Can I use the app if my surgery is performed in public healthcare?
Yes. SurgeON is available to everyone, regardless of whether care is provided in public or private healthcare. The goal of the app is to make conscious preparation accessible to all patients.
Is medical approval required to use it?
No. The app can be used independently, but it also allows your physician to connect with your progress and complement it with personal guidance — provided that your healthcare provider offers this option. (Only your own provider can give medical advice; the app cannot be connected to other providers.)
How much does the app cost?
The app will be available with a one-time purchase model, expected to be priced between 15–25 EUR. A premium ad-free version will also be offered. For health insurers and private providers, customized package deals will be available.
Does the app contain ads?
The standard version may include personalized offers from private healthcare providers. The premium version will be completely ad-free.
How much time does the daily preparation take?
The daily tasks take an average of 5–15 minutes. They can be completed flexibly, even later in the day, and are tailored to your physical and mental condition.
Is an internet connection required?
Yes, an internet connection is required to use all features of the app — for example, to access videos, synchronize data, or stay connected with your physician.
